Mana Kirsty’s teaching was amazing – she made me feel comfortable to make mistakes and always corrected any errors with good humour and positivity. I really enjoyed Kirsty’s relaxed, conversational teaching style. Her wonderful experience with the people and culture of Timor Leste gave excellent background and insight into the customs of Timor. The course itself was excellent, including a broad range of topics and therefore great opportunity to develop our vocabulary as well as our understanding of the way Tetun works as a language. I feel that Kirsty facilitated a connection between group members. I feel that my Tetun has improved and I am more confident to communicate with friends in Timor using their language. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and would recommend to anyone looking to improve their knowledge of Timor Leste and its language.
